Process Design
In FNZ Studio, a Process is the central orchestration mechanism used to model and manage business workflows. As a Business Object (BO), a Process coordinates interactions between other Business Objects and defines the sequence of activities performed by users, enabling organizations to structure complex business operations into clear, manageable flows.
The Process Business Object is composed of elements such as Swimlanes, Events. Gateways, Activities and Connections, which together describe how work moves through an application and how users interact with it.
Process Design focuses on the practices and guidelines used to create, configure, and maintain these workflows effectively. In FNZ Studio, Process Design helps developers build efficient, maintainable, and user-friendly business applications by applying proven design approaches and troubleshooting techniques.
While developers use the Process Editor to model workflows during design time, the Process Engine executes that model at runtime, moving the process forward according to the configured flow, For full information on runtime behavior, see the Process Execution section.
